Responsible Waste Disposal

Continuing the war on waste - Brightsparqe is a win win initiative connecting organisations and preventing food and other new unsold products going to waste. Through connecting cafĂ©’s, shops, and businesses that have unsold surplus such as end of day fresh food or new clothing to charity organisations and volunteers they ensure food and goods gets to people in need. Brightsparqe has services, partnerships and outreach programs to distribute food, bottled water, new clothes and hygiene necessities (toiletries) to the homeless, underprivileged and people living below the poverty line in Australia. Avoid Waste going to Landfill - If your CWA Branch has sausages or bread or other fresh food left over from a fundraiser or unsold jars of jams, pickles or sauces about to reach their ‘best by date’ consider contacting Brightsparqe or similar charitable organisations to make a contribution and prevent potential waste going to landfill.
Please note if you are dealing with fresh food it’s important to have an arrangement in place before your event to find a drop off or arrange pick of any potential surplus.
